10/19/2004 - Week 9 Re-Cap

The Pirates stayed strong even though they lost a game but the Longhorns are moving up fast. Louisville moved up after they lost to Miami and Auburn passed Miami in the polls to further hit the Cardinal over the head. The Pirates are looking like they will take Round 2 but will they have enough to get over the initial win by the Cardinal in Round 1?

The Longhorns are making a run at the Pirates lead by Wisconsin's charge into the top 6. With an outside shot at the Orange Bowl if some other teams stumble down the stretch, Wisconsin could be facing USC in what would be an East Coast Rose Bowl.

There is no love for the Cardinal in RCAA-land ... Miami moves down after a win. Looking for some bounce back after a couple of bad weeks, the Cardinal got wins but still didn't make a move. Speaking if illegal, the Irish are doing so bad that there is a warrant out for their arrest. The charge: Imitating an RCAA team.
