10/11/2004 - Week 8 Re-Cap

Oh how the mighty Cardinal has fallen. The Pirates have benefitted from some waiver pick-ups and from a new found strategy of winning all their games. It couldn't have come at a better time as they position themselves to win Round 2 in 3 weeks. The Pirates will still need to beat the Cardinal by 153 points if they want to take the Round 2 victory but right now they look unstoppable.

Of course so did the Cardinal a couple of weeks ago and now they're playing like crap. The Longest Horns won a couple of big match-up games that coulda/shoulda gone the other way. Cal outplayed SC big time but just could put it in the endzone at the end of the game. Another week like that and the Horns will be a title contender again, unlike their namesake.

Luckily the Irish picked up Virginia or that might be a negative team by now, and I didn't think that was mathematically possible. The Cardinal and the Longest Horns are looking for Virginia to pull off the upset of Florida State to help bring the Pirates back down to earth. Go Wahoos.

10/03/2004 - Week 7 Re-Cap

The Cardinal are looking vulnerable. The Pirates made a big move this past week with the waiver pick-ups and the match-up wins to close the gap on the Cardinal from 306 down to 38 points. With some big match-ups coming up over the next couple of weeks, we could have a new number one by the end of Round 2.

The Longhorns made big strides with their waiver pick-ups leading the way but it will take 3 or 4 BCS berths for them to challenge for the Pay-outs. The Longhorns are still looking for their first Match-up win and with 4 coming up in Week 8, they'll either be in it or sunk.

The Irish took a big hit this past weekend, losing ground dispite have the Virgina waiver pick-up. The loses by LSU and Ohio State pretty much crippled the chances the Irish may have had for winning the RCAA.

09/29/2004 - Round 1 Waiver Draft Re-Cap

Everyone seemed to be in high spirits for the 1st every Waiver Draft after Round 1 of the RCAA TAC-4 2004 season. The Irish showed up late as usual but everything settled down once the wings and the 32s were passed around. P 'Diddy' Gallery was to be on hand to witness the draft but showed up just as the final pick was made. Maybe she'll make round 2.

Looking for help to make-up for the dismal play of Iowa and Missouri, the Longhorns went big by going little. Choosing Utah and Boise State is a bold move but one that is doubtful to work out for them in the long run. The RCAA is not a league for the little teams and only time will tell if this move will pay-off.

In a somewhat surprising move, the Irish only selected one team in the Waiver Draft, electing to replace the Oregon squad with the Virginia Cavaliers. (What's a Wahoo anyways?)

The Pirates looked to replace the Clemson Tigers and the Kansas State Wildcats with some speed around the outside. Fresno State and Purdue fit the bill for them. Look to a huge match-up against Longhorns Boise State team in a game that may decide 2nd place. Purdue has a tough schedule the rest of the season and well see if that offense holds up against some great Big 10 defenses.

The Cardinal decided to go ahead and make a waiver draft pick in what many analyst believe to be a bonehead move. Way up in the standings with seemingly nothing to gain, the Cardinal go out and blow 15 credits on a Big 10 maybe. Is it the move that solidifies a championship or another 'LoDuca' trade. Another question that needs to be answered on the field and will be in the upcoming weeks.

09/27/2004 - Week 6 Re-Cap

Not much changed in the Week 6 polls as none of the top teams were playing each other and there were no upsets in the top 25. The Cardinal rolled to the Round 1 victory with 5 teams in the top 11 and all 6 teams in the top 25 for a decisive win over the second place Pirates 869 to 563.

The adjusted total for Round 1 and the totals for the other teams can be found in the Standings page.

Look for new teams to be in play next week as the first round wavier draft is to be held within the next couple of days. A lot of teams need some help but is there a team out there that can slow the Cardinal down. We'll find out over the next couple of weeks as Round 2 has more Match-ups then any other round.

09/20/2004 - Week 5 Re-Cap

It seems that the Cardinal is on a roll that the RCAA has never seen before. Every close game goes to the Cardinal, every break goes to the Cardinal, every win seems to go to the Cardinal. It is a domination that we have never witnessed before and may never witness again.

The Longhorns probably thought they had a nice Florida victory over the Vols but no. With 5 teams in the top 11, it will be hard to un-seat the Cardinal from the top of the rankings.

Of course there is much football to be played and a lot of big games through out October, November and December so the other teams should not give up just yet.
