Bowl Challenge Rules and Regulations
1.
It is 20 'Credits' to enter.
2.
You pick the winner of all 27 bowl games starting with the Champs Sports Bowl that will played on December 21st. Everyone that enters will get a free point for the New Orleans Bowl that is played on December 14th.
3.
Picks are made against the spread that was set using the Yahoo Sports Line on December 9th. The spread used is included on the attached spreadsheet and is also posted on the College Bowl Challenge Website.
4.
The weight of each game will be done using RojStock points that are also included on the spreadsheet. Each Bowl is assigned a certain number of RojStock points and if you pick the game correctly, you will receive that bowl's assigned points. If the game is a push, you will receive half that number of points. If you do not get the game correct, you get zero points.

The spreadsheet with your picks must be returned to me, Roger K the Bowl Challenge Master, by 4pm PST on December 21st. You can either place a mark in the box next to the team of your choice for each game (to the left of the Favorite or to the right of the Underdog), or you can highlight the team. That's up to you, just make sure that I can distinguish your picks in some way. Also make sure that you include your name with your entry so I don't be guessing.
6.
Once everyone's picks are posted on the web, (which should be the night of 12/21), take a look at what is listed as your picks as soon as possible. If you think there has been a mistake, let me know and we'll figure it out. I will send out an email with the link to everyone's picks once I post it.

Tiebreaker Rules: (lifted from the ESPN Bowl Challenge with some minor changes) |
The "Tiebreaker Game" is the Orange Bowl game currently scheduled for January 4, 2005 at 8:00 pm. Entrants may but are not required to submit a predicted score for the Tiebreaker Game. This prediction is used for tiebreaker purposes only. If no predicted score is submitted for an entry, it is given a default prediction of 0 points to 0 points. |
How the ties are broken:
The pool of tied entrants is reduced until only one potential winner remains by applying the rules below in the order listed. In all cases, an entry that does not win a tiebreaker is eliminated from consideration: |
Tiebreaker #1 - The entry who correctly predicted the winner of the Tiebreaker Game is considered the winning entry. |
Tiebreaker # 2 - An entrant's predicted Tiebreaker Game score is compared to the actual Tiebreaker Game. The differences between the predicted scores and actual scores for each team are added (positive numbers only). The entry with the smallest total difference is considered the winning entry. |
Tiebreaker # 3 - The entrant whose predicted score for the winning team is closest to the actual score of the winning team without being over the total is considered the winning entry. |
Tiebreaker # 4 - The entrant who correctly selected the winner of the most bowl games is considered the winning entry. |
Tiebreaker # 5 - The entrant who correctly predicted the winner of the Gaylord Hotel Music City Bowl. |
Tiebreaker # 6 - Coin Toss |
Tiebreaker # 7 - The entrant who can knock Bob out the fastest (to the nearest whole second). |

Roger's Pick Integrity Clause:
I know some of you are thinking that because I get to see everyone else's picks as they come in that I have an unfair advantage. Well, the folks at RojStock want to make sure that the integrity of the process is upheld so Roger made his picks prior to sending out this email and has mailed them to himself so they will have a postmark date of 12/9 or 12/10. This will be opened at some point during the games with other entrants present to witness and compare. |
