Basketball Rules and Regulations

1.
4-6 teams will make up a conference.

2.
Each Person will put up 100 Credits at the beginning of the season.

3.
Credits will be tracked during the season and final tallies will be posted at the end of the season. All credits will be settled at that point.

4.
A draft order will be determined by pulling numbers out of a hat (1 thru 5). The person that draws 1 gets to make the 1st pick in round 1 of the draft, the person who draws 2 will make the 2nd pick in round 1, etc...

5.
There will be 6 rounds to the draft so once the draft is complete, we will each have 6 teams.

6.
The 2nd round will be in the reverse order as the 1st. (The 3rd and 5th rounds will be in the same order as the 1st. The 4th and 6th rounds will be in the same order as the 2nd.)

7.
No team can be picked twice. Once a team is picked it is taken off the board.

8.
Trades will be allowed immediately following the Draft but will not be allowed once the first game of the regular season tips off. Once the season begins, everyone will have their 6 teams and they are set until the first waiver draft following Round 1. (Once the season begins, Rosters can only change at the Waiver Draft.)

9.
Points will be awarded based on the position that each of your teams are in the ESPN / USA Today Coaches Poll for each round. Points will be awarded for each of the top 25 based on the schedule in Table 1 below:

10.
Only the ESPN / USA Today Coaches Poll will be used to determine the points

11.
Points will be awarded at 3 different times during the season and then once the final polls come out after the NCAA Tournament is played. The schedule of the 4 rounds can be found in Table 2 below:

12.
As the season progresses, a greater percentage of points will be awarded for each round. The amount of points you get for a round based on Table 1 will be multiplied by the Point Percentage in Table 2 to get the number of points for a particular round you have received. The percentage of points awarded for each round can be found in Table 2 below.

13.
The winner of a round will be the person with the highest accumulative points from all completed rounds. (i.e. The winner of Round 3 will be the person with the highest point total after you add the points together from rounds 1, 2 and 3 for each participant.)

14.
The winner of each round will win part of the total credit purse. The amount awarded for each round can be found in Table 2 below.

Note: Credit amounts in Table 2 are based on a 5 person Conference. Changes will be made to the Pay-outs if there are more or less people.

In the event that there is a tie for the top spot in any round, then the winner will be the person that has the highest ranked team in the poll. If there is still a tie, then the person with the second highest ranked team will be the winner and so on. (Note: If there is still not a winner after going to the 6th ranked team, the first person to knock Bob out will be declared the winner.)

16.
Waiver Rule: The day after each round, the person in last place has the opportunity to drop one of their teams and pick-up another team that is not 'owned' by anyone yet. After the last place team member goes through the waiver process, then the 3rd place person has that same opportunity and so on. The credit costs for going through the waiver process can be found in Table 3 below.

17.
Once you pass on the waiver process, you are done until after the next round.

18.
If you do pick a team up on waivers, you can pick another team up as long as the other players have had their waiver opportunity and you put up the appropriate amount of credits.

19.
The credits collected from the waiver process will be paid at the time of the waiver transaction and added to the winners take (1st Place) after Round 4.

20.
A person can choose a team that was released by someone in the Waiver Rule process during the same Waiver Round. Once a team is released, it is available to someone else immediately.
